Eddyfi PipeScan HD

Pine Item #52389

The Eddyfi PipeScan HD is a high-resolution magnetic flux leakage (MFL) corrosion mapping scanner engineered for rapid inspection of ferrous piping, pressure vessels, tanks, and structural assets. The system is designed to identify corrosion, pitting, and wall loss quickly without couplant or extensive surface preparation.

PipeScan HD uses high-density Hall-effect sensors and real-time C-scan imaging to provide immediate, traceable inspection results while permanently recording all data for post-analysis and reporting. The scanner operates through non-magnetic coatings up to 6 mm (0.24 in) thick and supports multiple interchangeable scanner heads for pipe diameters from 48 mm (1.9 in) through flat surfaces.

The system integrates with Eddyfi Swift-M and Reddy-32M instruments and supports one-person operation with scanning speeds up to 1 m/sec (40 in/sec). Compared with conventional spot ultrasonic thickness inspection, PipeScan HD significantly improves inspection coverage, productivity, and repeatability.

Features:

Highest-Resolution MFL Imaging: PipeScan HD delivers high-definition magnetic flux leakage imaging with detailed C-scan maps for rapid corrosion and pitting identification.

Detects Small Defects: The system detects defects as small as 2 mm in diameter at 10% wall loss, improving early-stage corrosion detection.

Scans Through Coatings: PipeScan HD inspects through non-magnetic coatings and paint up to 6 mm (0.24 in) thick, reducing the need for coating removal.

No Couplant Required: The scanner requires no couplant and only minimal surface preparation, reducing setup time and simplifying field deployment.

Flexible Scanner Heads: Multiple interchangeable heads allow inspection of pipe diameters from 48 mm (1.9 in) through flat surfaces.

Permanent Data Recording: PipeScan HD records all inspection data, enabling adjustable reporting thresholds and immediate field report generation.

Applications:

Corrosion screening of ferrous process piping.

Pitting detection in carbon steel pipe systems.

Inspection of aboveground piping in refineries and petrochemical plants.

Corrosion mapping of tank-associated piping.

Inspection of vessel surfaces for corrosion and pitting.

Screening of coated ferrous piping with limited surface preparation.

Rapid in-service inspection programs where couplant-free testing is required.

Integrity assessment campaigns requiring recorded, auditable inspection data.
